Meet the Team

Peter Wallace
Managing Director
As Managing Director of Wallace Groundworks, I have a rich background in both hands-on work and management. I have spent years building a company that delivers first-class labour, plant, materials and services across the country. Our projects range from heavy civil works and large commercial developments to smaller landscaping solutions, ensuring we are equipped to handle jobs of any size or budget.

I am committed to nurturing growth in our team, sharing my experience with the next generation, and emphasising the importance of ongoing learning. Over 80% of our staff have been re-trained to keep up with current qualifications, including new NVQs, and we prioritise health, safety, and mental well-being at work.

I'm also working towards a Level 7 NVQ in higher management to continue my professional development.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, exploring the outdoors, participating in charity work, and attending music festivals. My daughter has recently taken up the hobby of mountain biking, which I am thoroughly enjoying sharing my knowledge with her and creating memories together.

Another real passion of mine is organising the Louise Smalley weekly walks for participants.

I am on the committee of this great charity who have raised over £300,000.00 over the years.

As Director of Wallace Groundworks for over 3 years now, I focus on accounts administration, including invoicing, VAT returns, purchase ledger, and general office administration.
In my downtime, I love spending quality time with my family. I enjoy taking long walks and losing myself in music. Reading is another favourite way to unwind. My choice of books includes "Sleepers" by Lorenzo Carcaterra and anything by Adam Kay. I also have a soft spot for puzzle books and jigsaws.
Sam Wallace
Managing Director

I am the General Manager at Wallace Groundworks with over 20 years of experience in the motor trade in my previous role. I oversee various responsibilities, including health and safety, HR, and accounts management. I also aid our Managing Director in any projects required.

Currently, I'm working towards my AAT qualification and enhancing my knowledge in mental health and well-being in the workplace.

In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, diving into true crime books, and spending quality time with my family. Watching my boys, Josh and Isaac, excel in their hobbies like fishing and football brings me great enjoyment.
Nicola Parker
General Manager

I am the Procurement Manager at Wallace Groundworks. I have a wealth of experience in the construction industry.

I began my journey working on-site alongside my brother Pete and have since transitioned to an office-based role. My qualifications include SMSTS, NRWSA, and a CPCS Blue above and below 10 tonnes card, full First Aid at work and my Fire Marshall.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, rugby, and spending quality time with my family. You'll often find me supporting my kids at their football, motocross and fishing events.
Dan Wallace

A dedicated project manager with a lifetime of experience. I have worked for Wallace Groundworks for three and a half years.
My expertise is backed by a solid educational foundation, including qualifications in site management, first aid, mental health, and several certifications such as CPCS, IPATH, and Triple SCS. I also hold an NVQ Level 2 in groundworks and an EMFEC in bricklaying.

Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for martial arts, boxing, and football, particularly as a supporter of Derby County FC.
Darren Riley

Lynn Butler
Office Administrator
An Office Administrator for Wallace Groundworks for over a year now. I have a wealth of experience in purchasing, training, and general office duties.

Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my family and friends.
I particularly enjoy assisting my husband, Matt, with his landscape photography, capturing the beauty of nature.

My love for music, especially tunes from the 80s, is undeniable, and you'll often find me enjoying a good film. Some of my all-time favourites include "The Bourne Identity" series and "Pretty Woman."

When it comes to reading, I can't get enough of books by my favourite author, Cathy Wright.

Mace has been coming into the office since being eight weeks old. He loves to share everyone's lunch, walks, and cuddles.
